Frequently asked questions
What integrators, agencies and security teams usually ask us. Each answer links to the page that covers the topic in depth.
General
What does Ti-Vi Signage offer?
Digital signage and ambient audio platforms run as a managed service, together with monitoring, integration, migration, training and consulting services for digital signage companies.
Who are your services for?
Digital signage and audio integrators and agencies that sell and run solutions for their own clients.
Do you work with banking and government clients?
Yes. Our processes, dedicated instances and documentation are designed to meet the requirements of regulated sectors.
Digital signage platform
What hardware is supported?
Android, Windows, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, ChromeOS and Linux players, including many professional displays with a built-in player.
What happens if a screen loses its connection?
It keeps playing its stored schedule until the connection is restored.
Does it integrate with other systems?
Yes, through a REST API and external data sources in JSON, CSV or real time.
Ambient audio
How much bandwidth does each store use?
60 kbps at most, with constant, predictable usage.
How are jingles and announcements scheduled?
By song frequency, by time interval, by date and time or by day of the week.
How do text-to-speech announcements work?
From the web player, staff type the message and the platform plays it in the store in a professional voice.
What's the difference between the hardware player and the web player?
The hardware player is a dedicated device that runs unattended. The web player runs in the browser and adds tools for the point of sale: text-to-speech, preset announcements and paging with recorded audio.
Managed service
What does the managed service include?
Hosting, maintenance, updates, backups, security, monitoring and technical support for the platform.
What service levels do you offer?
Support is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 (GMT-5), and for critical incidents 24/7. Availability and response times are defined with each client according to their needs.
How are incidents and changes managed?
Following ITIL 4 good practice: configuration, incident, problem and change management, with documented, auditable processes.
Security and compliance
How is information protected?
With encryption in transit using TLS 1.3, encryption at rest on demand, least-privilege access control, two-factor authentication, an audit log and Cloudflare as CDN and firewall (access ACLs, geoblocking, rate limiting and OWASP rules).
Does my instance share infrastructure with other clients?
Not in the dedicated instance model. Each client has its own resources, and we certify it with an isolation certificate.
Can you operate without an internet connection?
Yes. For air-gapped environments we provide managed middleware that runs screens and audio inside the client’s isolated network.
What security documentation can you provide?
Architecture diagrams, security policies, the isolation certificate, the continuity plan, the responsibility matrix and answers to vendor questionnaires, under a non-disclosure agreement.
Integrations
Can you integrate a system that has no API?
Yes. We build custom middleware that accesses the information directly from the database, the internal service or the physical interface, such as RS232 or USB.
Which tools do you use for integrations?
n8n to automate workflows between systems that have an API, and our own middleware when a custom integration is needed.
Migration and training
Can I migrate from another platform without changing my hardware?
In many cases, yes. During the initial assessment we check which devices are compatible.
Does the migration interrupt operations?
No. It’s done in phases, at agreed times and with a rollback plan for each stage.
Do you offer training for my team?
Yes. We train your technical and sales team in platform administration, first-line support and presales for regulated environments.
